What is crack-a-lackin', my good peeps?

I can't believe I just said that... So let's just focus on what books I got this week instead of whatever idiot thing just spouted off of my mouth. Not so much this week but I've still got heaps from like two weeks ago. Haven't had the chance to read, or review much, I'm afraid.

 
Arclight by Josin L. McQuein
-Good things, I hope.

Invisibility by David Levithan and Andrea Cremer
-I don't really know how I feel about David Levithan writing in this genre. It's not his usual style and I remember Rachel Cohn, whom he usually partners up with, write a dystopian novel and it failed miserably. C/mon, Levithan. Don't let me down now.

The Progran by Suzanne Young
-I am so excited for this. The premise sounds so interesting and it could so easily flop but my friends have given it pretty good ratings so yay. It just arrived yesterday from the library so it was a nice surprise.


Sketchy by Olivia Samms
-A bajillion thanks to Faye over at The Social Potato and Olivia Samms for sending me a signed copy of this. Can't wait to read it!

A bajillion of books came all at once from my library. Behold, this week's books...

The Nightmare Affair by Mindee Arnett
-I've been super excited for this one. The premise sounded so cool and unique. Sadly, after reading more than a few not-s-good reviews, it's been pushed farther and farther down the list. Now's the time to read it, I guess.

Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead
-I had a break from this series but I'm itching to restart it now. Apparently Shadow Kiss is most everyone's favourite book in the series. I'm really excited.

The Diviners by Libba Bray
-I've been meaning to read something by Bray so I just picked this one. I'm not one to judge by a book's thickness or whatever, but this is a lot thicker than I expected. I would be lying if I said I wasn't intimidated by it. Besides, she's coming to New Zealand (the fact that an international author is coming is exciting enough, even if I'm not familiar with their work) soon and I want to see if it would be worth it to go to the event. (I'll probably still go even if I don't like it).

Supernaturally by Kiersten White
-I feel very paranormally right now. The first one was a little bit less than I expected so hopefully this one would give me what I expect.

False Memory by Dan Krokos
-It has such a beautiful cover and I haven't got a clue what to expect from this really. So far, that's a good thing.

Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan
-Again, I love the cover and I've heard such great things about this.

Taken by Erin Bowman
-SO EXCITED FOR THIS. Can you tell I'm excited? No? Well... I AM SO FREAKING EXCITED.

Etiquette & Espionage by Gail Carriger
-I love teenage espionage. Love it. It seems very Gallagher Girls-esque so hopefully I enjoy it as much as Ally Carter's stuff.

Something Like Normal by Trish Doller
-I haven't cried in So. Long. I need to cry- nay, sob. For those who've read this book, is this going to make me cry?

If you follow me on Twitter, you might have seen me mention not getting any more books for April until I'm finally caught up with all the books and ARCs I already had. Well, good news, everyone! I all the books I was supposed to have finished and now I've got new books. Good timing, too, cause it came at a time when my day has been kinda crap. Plus, I had to restock for the 24-hour read-a-thon this weekend. Interested in joining, by the way? All the information is at their website.

Imaginary Girls by Nova Ren Suma
-Apparently she's a great author. I've got two of her books and I'll see which one is better, if she is as great as everyone says she is.

The Runaway King by Jennifer A Nielsen
-I love this trilogy. But I think I'll reread the first one again to jog my memory since I can't even name five characters in it.

17 & Gone by Nova Ren Suma
-Look, it's her other book. Imaginary Girls has a much better cover.

Time Between Us by Tamara Ireland Stone
-I've already read this one. It was pretty good. I won't be posting a proper review for it because I don't really have much to say. I wrote something teeny tiny up on Goodreads if you're really curious.

Prodigy by Marie Lu
-Finally get to read this. Many have told me this is much better than the first one so I'm looking forward to reading it.

The Collector by Victoria Scott
-Everyone was talking about this lately. I've read it already, and I'm afraid I didn't like it quite as much as everyone else did. I'll be posting my review soon.

Spirit by Brigid Kemmerer
-I love this series. I don't love Hunter all that much, but the brothers are awesome as pie.

Starglass by Phoebe North
-I don't really know what to expect from Straglass. It definitely looks interesting. Hopefully, I'll end up enjoying it. I'm part of a tour for it, as well, so fingers crossed.

I think that's all for me. That's a lot more books than I realized.

ETA: I'm not doing the read-a-thon anymore. I got so confused by the time zones so bad. I thought it was on Saturday, then I realized NZ is a day ahead so I thought it was Sunday. I checked the site on Sunday and it was already half over. I'm still confused about that.

Perfect Scoundrels by Ally Carter
Oh my God I have been waiting for this all my life. Even before Ally Carter herself knew she was going to write this. I've already finished it, actually. It was awesome-sauce. I'll post my review soon enough.

Crash by Lisa McMann
I don't really know how I'm going to like this one, to be honest. I've read her other series- The Wake Trilogy- and I enjoyed it. But I read it ages ago and I don't know if I'm going to respond to it in a similar way.

Through the Ever Night by Veronica Rossi
Still not sure whether or not I'm actually going to read TtEN in the first place. I wasn't such a big fan of UtNS and I don't really want to waste my time if I know I'm not going like it. Dunno. I'll think about it.

Iced by Karen Marie Moning
I absolutely loved her Fever series. But this is Dani's series from now on. I can't imagine enjoying reading a book in Dani's perspective. She narrated very briefly during one of the Fever books, while Mac was MIA and it was just plain annoying. The reviews have been less than stellar as well. Something about the pedophilic relationships Dani gets herself into. *shudders* Plus, no more Mac and Barrons.

Something Strange and Deadly by Susan Dennard
Oh, the rave reviews are through the roof for this one. And look at the pretty cover.

Partials by Dan Wells
The second book, Fragments, came out a while ago and I hadn't even heard of this series before that. Let's see what all the hype is about.

Black Heart by Holly Black
I've been meaning to finally finish this series. It's the final showdown between Lily and Cassel. Don't hold back, Cassel. Bring that bitch down. Besides, the cover looks gorgeous. Thank goodness they redesigned it.

Everbound By Brodi Ashton
I quite enjoyed Everneath. Apparently this is a bajillion times better. Cole, though. I hate Cole.

The Archived by Victoria Schwab
I've finally got it, people! Finally! I have to tone down my expectations though or else I'm going to end up being disappointed.

ETA: I forgot I also got This Is Not a Test by Courtney Summers.

Everyone seems to love Courtney Summers, right? 

I'm excited for my books this week. Too bad, I won't actually get to read them until I finish the review copies I've got. Well, at least one of them.
